My Hobbies: tennis, rehab from tennis injuries, reading (mysteries by Elizabeth George and others)

·         I try to play tennis a few times a week, often including a lesson.

·         I may see some of you at Gold's gym in College Station. I usually workout twice a week, usually at night. As you likely noticed, however, I don't qualify as a heavy lifter.

·         I allocate some time to some non-technical reading (get a life Swanson!). I particularly like the mysteries by Elizabeth George; they are set in England and have great character development. For some reason, all the mysteries I read seem to be written by women writers.

·         I spend quite a bit of time on research and use these activities to keep a balance in life.

Family: Mary Ann (wife), Dianna (daughter) and Mark (son)

·         Mary Ann, teaches all the Latin courses at Consolidated High School in College Station. Her parents emigrated from Greece and she speaks Greek. She also speaks French and Spanish. (If you are counting, this is four languages more than I can speak.) For a hobby, she is an avid reader of historical fiction. We have been married for three decades!

·         Dianna graduated from Trinity University (undergrad) and Southwest Texas (graduate school. She got married in June 2000 and lives in Austin. (We shocked a few people by selecting “Celebrate” by Kool and the Gang for the father/daughter dance.) She is taking some time off from her job as a school psychologist to have her first baby.

·         Mark graduated from TAMU in May 1999 in civil engineering. He works in Houston with a good engineering firm. He is an avid fan of Aggie sports and the Rockets. He hasn't got a girl friend. (I will give you his e-mail address if you are interested.)
